Very glad to recap the highlights
Tom Graves, the Principal Consultant at Tetradian Consulting and the author of books The Whole Enterprise Architecture and recently The Whole Business Architecture.
His long term experience in consulting enterprises from various fields translates into great presentation. Holistic view connecting four main dimensions – technology, knowledge, business and people is very strongly combined with a deep human perspective. This is visible in great humour, but also in a need of permanent loop of reality check – within your enterprise, but also in the theoretical strategic approach.
Our global partner Bizzdesign was represented by Pre-sales Consultant David Strickrodt. His topic of “How GenAI will influence EA” gives many answers for questions we naturally put ourselves.
Combination of enthusiasm with rational critical thinking and putting AI into context of the implementation navigation and safe adoption within corporation is very inspiring attitude. Changed expectations of speed and simplicity balanced with an enormous focus on safety.
Our clients were represented by enterprise architect Robert Séleš from ČSOB SR talking about “Achieving Business Agility with EA”.
The journey of EA within company covered several significant milestones – from changing core banking system, through application integration and acquisition to agility initiative. “We can’t imagine to do it without sophisticated Enterprise Architecture.”
The last but definitely not least speakers were Peter FIlip and Mario Patoprsty from EA team of Tatra Banka.
Automation of cloud integration that is not only integrating data based on architecture repository, but also is generating a tags within created rules.
The EA maturity in this bank is enormous. Encouraging is the way paved with “deals with people who will help to deliver data in order to benefit later”. Creating “single source of truth” is major milestone on the way to fulfilling the EA team vision “of ultimate ability to change”. The great bonus at the end was a panel discussion “The future of EA in the context of AI” brought very positive outlook of even stronger role for EA and architects themselves. And also highlighted some ethical and safety concerns that has to be carefully watched on organisational but also societal level.
